GRUFOLPAWA Brings Carnival to the 30th Anniversary Brunch
On Saturday, April 27, the Carlito’s Wish Foundation hosted a brunch at the beautiful El Caribe Caterers (Brooklyn, NY) to celebrate 30 years of granting wishes to children suffering from life-threatening illnesses. The hall was bathed in a hue of pink in recognition of breast cancer awareness and the tables were adorned with centerpieces carefully designed by Mercedes Ottley, Founder and CWF member. CWF was also graced with a carnival performed by GRUFOLPAWA.
About GRUFOLPAWA:
GRUFOLPAWA (Grupo Folklórico de Panamá en Washington, DC) is a non-profit association that was founded in 1976 by Doña Olga Warren de Small, guided by her spirit of patriotism and love for folklore. The group is composed of men and women of all ages, mostly Panamanians. We have entertained audiences in places such as government offices, schools, churches, festivals, and private parties. Their mission is to spread Panamanian folklore through its regional music and dances, using authentic attire.
